Don Brewer age 77 (born September 3, 1948) is an American rock drummer and singer best known as the founding member and longtime original drummer of the iconic band Grand Funk Railroad, contributing to hits like We’re an American Band. He began playing in bands as a child in Flint, Michigan, later performing with acts including Terry Knight and the Pack and Bob Seger’s Silver Bullet Band. Brewer’s powerful drumming and vocals helped define 1970s hard rock, and he continues to be celebrated for his influence on classic rock music.
